Description

Surveillance is a key component of the security Industry. Understanding surveillance can improve Security Officers awareness and thus mitigate risk. It is also a growing Industry as a stand-alone skill in the security services aiding fraud and associated crime. Whether seeking a dedicated role as a surveillance Officer or looking to improve your personal development as a Security Officer this course will provide the skills necessary.

The Course is taught by surveillance experts all retired from the Military, UK Government Organisations and Special Operations (Met Police). The skills taught are inter-operable with all security associated skills, current and experienced from around the world including high risk environments. Specialist surveillance skills include static, foot and mobile surveillance enhanced by technical capabilities.

The awarding certification is the National College of Further Education (NCFE). Level 3 Award in Surveillance.

The course is a five day course running Monday to Friday. The course includes additional homework and preparation in the evenings and some late night exercises.

NOTE:

Students must be 18 years minimum to attend this course. A valid UK driver’s licence is preferable but not essential.

Assessment

Students are assessed throughout the course. A written assessment will be conducted on the final day.

This qualification will improve a security Officers skills and awareness and is critical to those intending to work in hostile enviroments.


Training Venue

The training centre is based in Folkestone, CT19, SE Kent. Easily accessible from the M20 motorway, junction 12 or jct 13, or by train (Folkestone West or Central) which is a 1hour commute from central London. For group bookings it can be arranged that the course comes to you and can be fitted into dates that suit your calendar. Full details will be provided with the course application.


Accommodation

We recommend that all students reside in Folkestone. The training days are long and can be arduous meaning reducing travel time will assist in achieving the required standards to pass the course.

There are many hotels within Folkestone providing a variety of choice and budgets. The town is moderately sized meaning transport to the hotel and the training venues remains convenient with either private or public transport. Recommended can be found on;
